John 5:14-16
New Century Version
14 Later, Jesus found the man at the Temple and said to him, “See, you are well now. Stop sinning so that something worse does not happen to you.”
15 Then the man left and told his people that Jesus was the one who had made him well.
16 Because Jesus was doing this on the Sabbath day, some evil people began to persecute him.

14 Later Jesus found him at the temple and said to him, “See, you are well again. Stop sinning(A) or something worse may happen to you.” 15 The man went away and told the Jewish leaders(B) that it was Jesus who had made him well.
The Authority of the Son
16 So, because Jesus was doing these things on the Sabbath, the Jewish leaders began to persecute him.
