Jesus Heals an Official's Son

⁴⁶ So he came again to ^(A)Cana in Galilee, ^(B)where he had made the water wine. And at Capernaum there was an official whose son was ill.

The Wedding at Cana

2 On ^(A)the third day there was a wedding at ^(B)Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. ² Jesus also was invited to the wedding with ^(C)his disciples. ³ When the wine ran out, the mother of Jesus said to him, “They have no wine.” ⁴ And Jesus said to her, ^(D)“Woman, ^(E)what does this have to do with me? ^(F)My hour has not yet come.” ⁵ His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.”

⁶ Now there were six stone water jars there ^(G)for the Jewish rites of purification, each holding twenty or thirty ^(H)gallons.^{[a] 7} Jesus said to the servants, “Fill the jars with water.” And they filled them up to the brim. ⁸ And he said to them, “Now draw some out and take it to the master of the feast.” So they took it. ⁹ When the master of the feast tasted ^(I)the water now become wine, and did not know where it came from (though the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom ¹⁰ and said to him, “Everyone serves the good wine first, and when people have drunk freely, then the poor wine. But you have kept the good wine until now.” ¹¹ This, the first of his signs, Jesus did at Cana in Galilee, and manifested ^(J)his glory. And ^(K)his disciples believed in him.

⁴² for he had ^(A)an only daughter, about twelve years of age, and she was dying.

As Jesus went, the people ^(B)pressed around him.

² Now a centurion had a servant^[a] who was sick and at the point of death, who was highly valued by him.

Jesus Heals a Boy with a Demon

^14 (A)And when they came to the crowd, a man came up to him and, kneeling before him, ¹⁵ said, “Lord, have mercy on my son, for he has ^(B)seizures and he suffers terribly. For often he falls into the fire, and often into the water.

²² And behold, ^(A)a Canaanite woman from that region came out and was crying, ^(B)“Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David; my daughter is severely oppressed by a demon.”

A Girl Restored to Life and a Woman Healed

^18 (A)While he was saying these things to them, behold, a ruler came in and ^(B)knelt before him, saying, “My daughter has just died, but come and lay your hand on her, and she will live.”
