^16 (A)For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten ^(B)Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

⁴⁷ Most assuredly, I say to you, ^(A)he who believes ^[a]in Me has everlasting life.

Life and Judgment Are Through the Son

²⁴ “Most assuredly, I say to you, ^(A)he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, ^(B)but has passed from death into life.

²⁸ And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. ^29 (A)My Father, ^(B)who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand.

¹¹ But if the Spirit of ^(A)Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, ^(B)He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies ^[a]through His Spirit who dwells in you.

Sonship Through the Spirit

^12 (C)Therefore, brethren, we are debtors—not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. ¹³ For ^(D)if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you ^(E)put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.
