¹⁷ Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to ^(A)my brothers and say to them, ^(B)‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to ^(C)my God and your God.’”

⁶ And because you are sons, God has sent ^(A)the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba! Father!” ⁷ So you are no longer a slave, but a son, and if a son, then ^(B)an heir through God.

⁸ Therefore it says,

⁹ (^(C)In saying, “He ascended,” what does it mean but that he had also descended into ^(D)the lower regions, the earth?^{[b] 10} He who descended is the one who also ^(E)ascended ^(F)far above all the heavens, that he might ^(G)fill all things.)

²⁶ for in Christ Jesus ^(A)you are all sons of God, through faith.

¹¹ For ^(A)he who sanctifies and ^(B)those who are sanctified ^(C)all have one source.^[a] That is why he is not ashamed to call them ^(D)brothers,^{[b] 12} saying,

¹³ And again,

And again,

^28 (A)I came from the Father and have come into the world, and now ^(B)I am leaving the world and going to the Father.”

Born Again to a Living Hope

^3 (A)Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! ^(B)According to his great mercy, ^(C)he has caused us to be born again to a living hope ^(D)through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

² Beloved, we are ^(A)God's children ^(B)now, and what we will be ^(C)has not yet appeared; but we know that ^(D)when he appears^{[a] (E)}we shall be like him, because ^(F)we shall see him as he is.

¹⁷ that ^(A)the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, ^(B)may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him, ^18 (C)having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is ^(D)the hope to which he has called you, what are ^(E)the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, ¹⁹ and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, ^(F)according to the working of ^(G)his great might ²⁰ that he worked in Christ ^(H)when he raised him from the dead and ^(I)seated him at his right hand ^(J)in the heavenly places, ^21 (K)far above ^(L)all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above ^(M)every name that is named, not only in ^(N)this age but also in the one to come. ²² And ^(O)he put all things under his feet and gave him as ^(P)head over all things to the church, ^23 (Q)which is his body, ^(R)the fullness of him ^(S)who fills ^(T)all in all.
