²⁴ But Jesus ^(A)on his part did not entrust himself to them, because ^(B)he knew all people

⁶⁴ But ^(A)there are some of you who do not believe.” (For Jesus ^(B)knew from the beginning who those were who did not believe, and ^(C)who it was who would betray him.)

¹³ And ^(A)no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are ^(B)naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account.

²⁴ And ^(A)they prayed and said, “You, Lord, ^(B)who know the hearts of all, show which one of these two you have chosen

⁴ But Jesus, ^(A)knowing^[a] their thoughts, said, “Why do you think evil in your hearts?

David's Charge to Solomon

⁹ “And you, Solomon my son, know the God of your father and serve him with a ^(A)whole heart and with a willing mind, ^(B)for the Lord searches all hearts and understands every plan and thought. ^(C)If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you forsake him, he will cast you off forever.

³⁰ Now we know that ^(A)you know all things and do not need anyone to question you; this is why we believe that ^(B)you came from God.”

⁴² But ^(A)I know that you do not have ^(B)the love of God within you.

⁷ But the Lord said to Samuel, ^(A)“Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, ^(B)but the Lord looks on the heart.”

²³ and I will strike her children dead. And all the churches will know that I am he ^(A)who searches mind and heart, and ^(B)I will give to each of you according to your works.
