Jesus Knows What Is in Man

²³ Now when he was in Jerusalem at the Passover Feast, many believed in his name ^(A)when they saw the signs that he was doing.

¹³ And the ones on the rock are those who, when they hear the word, receive it ^(A)with joy. But these have no root; they ^(B)believe for a while, and in time of testing ^(C)fall away.

¹⁴ When the people saw the sign that he had done, they said, ^(A)“This is indeed ^(B)the Prophet ^(C)who is to come into the world!”

¹⁶ that according to ^(A)the riches of his glory ^(B)he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit ^(C)in your inner being, ^17 (D)so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being ^(E)rooted and ^(F)grounded in love,

⁶ For in Christ Jesus ^(A)neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything, but ^(B)only faith working through love.

³¹ Yet ^(A)many of the people believed in him. They said, ^(B)“When the Christ appears, will he do more signs than this man has done?”

³⁰ As he was saying these things, ^(A)many believed in him.

The Truth Will Set You Free

³¹ So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, ^(B)“If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples,

² This man came to Jesus^{[a] (A)}by night and said to him, ^(B)“Rabbi, ^(C)we know that you are a teacher come from God, for no one can do these signs that you do ^(D)unless God is with him.”

Jesus Cleanses the Temple
