My Kingdom Is Not of This World

^33 (A)So Pilate entered his headquarters again and called Jesus and said to him, ^(B)“Are you the King of the Jews?”

^3 (A)And Pilate asked him, ^(B)“Are you the King of the Jews?” And he answered him, ^(C)“You have said so.” ⁴ Then Pilate said to the chief priests and the crowds, ^(D)“I find no guilt in this man.”

³⁴ For ^(A)David did not ascend into the heavens, but he himself says,

³⁶ Let all the house of Israel therefore know for certain that ^(C)God has made him ^(D)both Lord and Christ, this Jesus ^(E)whom you crucified.”

¹² From then on ^(A)Pilate sought to release him, but the Jews cried out, “If you release this man, you are not Caesar's friend. ^(B)Everyone who makes himself a king opposes Caesar.”

³ They came up to him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!” and struck him with their hands.

³⁷ Then Pilate said to him, “So you are a king?” Jesus answered, ^(A)“You say that I am a king. ^(B)For this purpose I was born and for this purpose ^(C)I have come into the world—^(D)to bear witness to the truth. ^(E)Everyone who is ^(F)of the truth ^(G)listens to my voice.”

¹³ So they took branches of ^(A)palm trees and went out to meet him, crying out, ^(B)“Hosanna! Blessed is ^(C)he who comes in the name of the Lord, even ^(D)the King of Israel!”

³⁸ saying, ^(A)“Blessed is ^(B)the King who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven and ^(C)glory in the highest!” ^39 (D)And some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to him, “Teacher, rebuke your disciples.” ⁴⁰ He answered, “I tell you, if these were silent, ^(E)the very stones would cry out.”

^2 (A)And Pilate asked him, ^(B)“Are you the King of the Jews?” And he answered him, ^(C)“You have said so.”
