¹¹ So Jesus said to Peter, “Put your sword into its sheath; ^(A)shall I not drink the cup that the Father has given me?”

³⁹ And going a little farther he fell on his face ^(A)and prayed, saying, “My Father, if it be possible, let ^(B)this cup pass from me; ^(C)nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will.”

²² Jesus answered, ^(A)“You do not know what you are asking. Are you able ^(B)to drink the cup that I am to drink?” They said to him, “We are able.”

⁴² saying, ^(A)“Father, if you are willing, remove ^(B)this cup from me. ^(C)Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done.”

² looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, ^(A)who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising ^(B)the shame, and ^(C)is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.

⁴ For the ^(A)weapons of ^(B)our warfare are not of the flesh but have ^(C)divine power ^(D)to destroy strongholds.

^10 (A)If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as ^(B)I have kept ^(C)my Father's commandments and abide in his love.

The Son of Man Must Be Lifted Up

^27 (A)“Now is my soul troubled. And what shall I say? ‘Father, ^(B)save me from ^(C)this hour’? But ^(D)for this purpose I have come to ^(E)this hour. ²⁸ Father, glorify your name.” Then ^(F)a voice came from heaven: “I have glorified it, and I will glorify it again.”

³⁵ And going a little farther, he fell on the ground ^(A)and prayed that, if it were possible, ^(B)the hour might pass from him. ³⁶ And he said, ^(C)“Abba, Father, ^(D)all things are possible for you. Remove ^(E)this cup from me. ^(F)Yet not what I will, but what you will.”
