16 They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. 17 (A)Sanctify[a] them by Your truth. (B)Your word is truth. 18 (C)As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world. 19 And (D)for their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they also may be sanctified by the truth.

Jesus Prays for All Believers

20 “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who [b]will believe in Me through their word; 21 (E)that they all may be one, as (F)You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. 22 And the (G)glory which You gave Me I have given them, (H)that they may be one just as We are one: 23 I in them, and You in Me; (I)that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.

24 (J)“Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; (K)for You loved Me before the foundation of the world. 25 O righteous Father! (L)The world has not known You, but (M)I have known You; and (N)these have known that You sent Me. 26 (O)And I have declared to them Your name, and will declare it, that the love (P)with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.”

16 `Of the world they are not, as I of the world am not;

17 sanctify them in Thy truth, Thy word is truth;

18 as Thou didst send me to the world, I also did send them to the world;

19 and for them do I sanctify myself, that they also themselves may be sanctified in truth.

20 `And not in regard to these alone do I ask, but also in regard to those who shall be believing, through their word, in me;

21 that they all may be one, as Thou Father [art] in me, and I in Thee; that they also in us may be one, that the world may believe that Thou didst send me.

22 `And I, the glory that thou hast given to me, have given to them, that they may be one as we are one;

23 I in them, and Thou in me, that they may be perfected into one, and that the world may know that Thou didst send me, and didst love them as Thou didst love me.

24 `Father, those whom Thou hast given to me, I will that where I am they also may be with me, that they may behold my glory that Thou didst give to me, because Thou didst love me before the foundation of the world.

25 `Righteous Father, also the world did not know Thee, and I knew Thee, and these have known that Thou didst send me,

26 and I made known to them Thy name, and will make known, that the love with which Thou lovedst me in them may be, and I in them.'

20 “I am not asking on behalf of these alone, but also for those who believe in Me through their word, 21 that they may all be one; (H)just as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, (I)so that the world may [a]believe that (J)You sent Me.

Disciples’ Future Glory

22 The (K)glory which You have given Me I also have given to them, so that they may be one, just as We are one; 23 (L)I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected [b]in unity, so that the world may [c]know that (M)You sent Me, and You (N)loved them, just as You loved Me. 24 Father, I desire that (O)they also, whom You have given Me, (P)be with Me where I am, so that they may see My (Q)glory which You have given Me, for You loved Me before (R)the foundation of the world.

25 (S)Righteous Father, [d]although (T)the world has not known You, yet I have known You; and these have known that (U)You sent Me; 26 and (V)I have made Your name known to them, and will make it known, so that (W)the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.”
