^28 (A)You heard me say to you, ^(B)‘I am going away, and I will come to you.’ If you loved me, you would have rejoiced, because I ^(C)am going to the Father, for ^(D)the Father is greater than I.

⁹ But we see him ^(A)who for a little while was made lower than the angels, namely Jesus, ^(B)crowned with glory and honor ^(C)because of the suffering of death, so that by the grace of God he might ^(D)taste death ^(E)for everyone.

¹⁰ For it ^(F)was fitting that he, ^(G)for whom and by whom all things exist, in bringing many sons ^(H)to glory, should make the ^(I)founder of their salvation ^(J)perfect through suffering. ¹¹ For ^(K)he who sanctifies and ^(L)those who are sanctified ^(M)all have one source.^[a] That is why he is not ashamed to call them ^(N)brothers,^{[b] 12} saying,

And again,

¹⁴ Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood, he himself likewise ^(T)partook of the same things, that ^(U)through death he might ^(V)destroy ^(W)the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil, ¹⁵ and deliver all those who ^(X)through fear of death were subject to lifelong slavery.

²⁹ My Father, ^(A)who has given them to me,^{[a] (B)}is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of ^(C)the Father's hand. ^30 (D)I and the Father are one.”

² but ^(A)in these last days ^(B)he has spoken to us by ^(C)his Son, whom he appointed ^(D)the heir of all things, ^(E)through whom also he created ^(F)the world. ³ He is the radiance of the glory of God and ^(G)the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. ^(H)After making purification for sins, ^(I)he sat down ^(J)at the right hand of the Majesty on high,

^6 (A)who, though he was in ^(B)the form of God, did not count equality with God ^(C)a thing to be grasped,^{[a] 7} but ^(D)emptied himself, by taking the form of a ^(E)servant,^{[b] (F)}being born in the likeness of men. ⁸ And being found in human form, he humbled himself by ^(G)becoming obedient to the point of death, ^(H)even death on a cross. ^9 (I)Therefore ^(J)God has ^(K)highly exalted him and bestowed on him ^(L)the name that is above every name, ¹⁰ so that at the name of Jesus ^(M)every knee should bow, ^(N)in heaven and on earth and under the earth, ¹¹ and ^(O)every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is ^(P)Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

²⁴ Then comes the end, when he delivers ^(A)the kingdom to God the Father after destroying ^(B)every rule and every authority and power. ²⁵ For he must reign ^(C)until he has put all his enemies under his feet. ²⁶ The last enemy to be ^(D)destroyed is death. ²⁷ For ^(E)“God^[a] has put all things in subjection under his feet.” But when it says, “all things are put in subjection,” it is plain that he is excepted who put all things in subjection under him. ²⁸ When ^(F)all things are subjected to him, then the Son himself will also be subjected to him who put all things in subjection under him, that ^(G)God may be all in all.

²¹ Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As ^(A)the Father has sent me, ^(B)even so I am sending you.”

¹⁷ Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to ^(A)my brothers and say to them, ^(B)‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to ^(C)my God and your God.’”

¹⁸ “I will not leave you as orphans; ^(A)I will come to you.
