¹⁹ In a little while the world will no longer see me, but you will see me; because I live, you also will live.

Sorrow Will Turn into Joy

¹⁶ “A little while, and you will no longer see me, and again a little while, and you will see me.”^(A)

³³ Jesus then said, “I will be with you a little while longer, and then I am going to him who sent me.^(A)

²⁵ Consequently, he is able for all time to save^[a] those who approach God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.^(A)

⁵⁶ Those who eat my flesh and drink my blood abide in me and I in them.^{(A) 57} Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so whoever eats me will live because of me. ⁵⁸ This is the bread that came down from heaven, not like that which the ancestors ate, and they died. But the one who eats this bread will live forever.”

³ for you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.^{(A) 4} When Christ who is your^[a] life is revealed, then you also will be revealed with him in glory.^(B)

²² So you have pain now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you.^(A)

²⁵ Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life.^[a] Those who believe in me, even though they die, will live,^(A)

¹⁰ always carrying around in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be made visible in our bodies.^{(A) 11} For we who are living are always being handed over to death for Jesus’s sake, so that the life of Jesus may also be made visible in our mortal flesh. ¹² So death is at work in us but life in you.

⁴⁵ Thus it is written, “The first man, Adam, became a living being”; the last Adam became a life-giving spirit.^(A)
