³ Jesus knew that the Father had put all things under his power,^(A) and that he had come from God^(B) and was returning to God;

⁴² Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love me,^(A) for I have come here from God.^(B) I have not come on my own;^(C) God sent me.^(D)

³⁵ The Father loves the Son and has placed everything in his hands.^(A)

²⁷ “All things have been committed to me^(A) by my Father.^(B) No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.^(C)

¹⁸ Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.^(A)

² but in these last days^(A) he has spoken to us by his Son,^(B) whom he appointed heir^(C) of all things, and through whom^(D) also he made the universe.^(E)

²¹ far above all rule and authority, power and dominion,^(A) and every name^(B) that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come.^{(C) 22} And God placed all things under his feet^(D) and appointed him to be head^(E) over everything for the church,
