^49 (A)For I did not speak ^[a]on My own, but the Father Himself who sent Me ^(B)has given Me a commandment as to what to say and what to speak.

¹⁷ Jesus *said to her, “Stop clinging to Me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to ^(A)My brothers and say to them, ‘I am ^(B)ascending to My Father and your Father, and My God and your God.’”

²⁹ “Is My word not like ^(A)fire?” declares the Lord, “and like a ^(B)hammer which shatters a rock?

Judgment Proclaimed

^17 (A)And to the eyes of the sons of Israel, the appearance of the glory of the Lord was like a ^(B)consuming fire on the mountain top.

²⁴ For the Lord your God is a ^(A)consuming fire, a ^(B)jealous God.

³ So be aware today that ^(A)it is the Lord your God who is crossing over ahead of you as ^(B)a consuming fire. He will destroy them and He will subdue them before you, so that ^(C)you may drive them out and eliminate them quickly, just as the Lord has spoken to you.

¹² For all who have sinned ^[a](A)without the Law will also perish ^[b]without the Law, and all who have sinned ^[c]under the Law will be judged ^[d]by the Law;

^13 (A)each one’s work will become evident; for ^(B)the day will show it because it is to be revealed with fire, and the fire itself will test ^[a]the quality of each one’s work.
