Walk in the Light

⁴²Nevertheless even among the rulers many believed in Him, but ^(A)because of the Pharisees they did not confess Him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue; ⁴³^(B)for they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.

⁴⁴Then Jesus cried out and said, ^(C)“He who believes in Me, ^(D)believes not in Me ^(E)but in Him who sent Me. ⁴⁵And ^(F)he who sees Me sees Him who sent Me. ⁴⁶^(G)I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness. ⁴⁷And if anyone hears My words and does not ^[a]believe, ^(H)I do not judge him; for ^(I)I did not come to judge the world but to save the world. ⁴⁸^(J)He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him—^(K)the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day. ⁴⁹For ^(L)I have not spoken on My own authority; but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, ^(M)what I should say and what I should speak. ⁵⁰And I know that His command is everlasting life. Therefore, whatever I speak, just as the Father has told Me, so I ^(N)speak.”

⁴²Still, however, also out of the rulers did many believe in him, but because of the Pharisees they were not confessing, that they might not be put out of the synagogue,

⁴³for they loved the glory of men more than the glory of God.

⁴⁴And Jesus cried and said, `He who is believing in me, doth not believe in me, but in Him who sent me;

⁴⁵and he who is beholding me, doth behold Him who sent me;

⁴⁶I a light to the world have come, that every one who is believing in me -- in the darkness may not remain;

⁴⁷and if any one may hear my sayings, and not believe, I -- I do not judge him, for I came not that I might judge the world, but that I might save the world.

⁴⁸`He who is rejecting me, and not receiving my sayings, hath one who is judging him, the word that I spake, that will judge him in the last day,

⁴⁹because I spake not from myself, but the Father who sent me, He did give me a command, what I may say, and what I may speak,

⁵⁰and I have known that His command is life age-during; what, therefore, I speak, according as the Father hath said to me, so I speak.'

⁴⁴Now Jesus cried out and said, “^(F)The one who believes in Me, does not believe only in Me, but also in Him who sent Me. ⁴⁵And ^(G)the one who sees Me sees Him who sent Me. ⁴⁶^(H)I have come as Light into the world, so that no one who believes in Me will remain in darkness. ⁴⁷If anyone hears My ^[c]teachings and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for ^(I)I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world. ⁴⁸^(J)The one who rejects Me and does not ^[d]accept My ^[e]teachings has one who judges him: ^(K)the word which I spoke. That will judge him on ^(L)the last day. ⁴⁹^(M)For I did not speak ^[f]on My own, but the Father Himself who sent Me ^(N)has given Me a commandment as to what to say and what to speak. ⁵⁰And I know that ^(O)His commandment is eternal life; therefore the things I speak, I speak ^(P)just as the Father has told Me.”
