²⁹ The crowd that stood there and heard it said that it had thundered. Others said, ^(A)“An angel has spoken to him.”

² And I heard a voice from heaven ^(A)like the roar of many waters and ^(B)like the sound of loud thunder. The voice I heard was like the sound of ^(C)harpists playing on their harps,

18 After this I saw ^(A)another angel coming down from heaven, having great authority, and ^(B)the earth was made bright with his glory. ² And he called out with a mighty voice,

¹⁹ Then ^(A)God's temple in heaven was opened, and ^(B)the ark of his covenant was seen within his temple. There were flashes of lightning, rumblings,^[a] peals of thunder, an earthquake, and ^(C)heavy hail.

⁵ Then the angel took the censer and ^(A)filled it with fire from the altar and threw it on the earth, and ^(B)there were peals of ^(C)thunder, rumblings,^[a] flashes of lightning, and an earthquake.

The Seven Seals

6 Now I watched when the Lamb opened one of ^(A)the seven seals, and I heard ^(B)one of the four living creatures say ^(C)with a voice like thunder, ^(D)“Come!”

⁸ For the Sadducees ^(A)say that there is no resurrection, nor angel, nor spirit, but the Pharisees acknowledge them all. ⁹ Then a great clamor arose, and some of ^(B)the scribes of the Pharisees' party stood up and contended sharply, ^(C)“We find nothing wrong in this man. What ^(D)if a spirit or an angel spoke to him?”

⁵ And ^(A)the sound of the wings of the cherubim was heard as far as the outer court, ^(B)like the voice of God Almighty when he speaks.
