Jesus Weeps

²⁸ When she had said this, she went and called her sister Mary, saying in private, ^(A)“The Teacher is here and is calling for you.”

^13 (A)You call me ^(B)Teacher and Lord, and you are right, for so I am.

^20 (A)So when Martha heard that Jesus was coming, she went and met him, but Mary remained seated in the house.

⁴⁹ And Jesus stopped and said, “Call him.” And they called the blind man, saying to him, ^(A)“Take heart. Get up; he is calling you.”

¹⁷ Then we who are alive, who are left, will be ^(A)caught up together with them ^(B)in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so ^(C)we will always be with the Lord. ¹⁸ Therefore encourage one another with these words.

⁷ That disciple ^(A)whom Jesus loved therefore said to Peter, “It is the Lord!” When Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, ^(B)he put on his outer garment, for he was ^(C)stripped for work, and ^(D)threw himself into the sea.

¹⁶ Jesus said to her, “Mary.” She turned and said to him in Aramaic,^{[a] (A)}“Rabboni!” (which means Teacher).

³ To him the gatekeeper opens. The sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.

⁴⁵ Philip found ^(A)Nathanael and said to him, “We have found him of whom ^(B)Moses in the Law and also the prophets wrote, Jesus ^(C)of Nazareth, ^(D)the son of Joseph.”

⁴¹ He first found his own brother Simon and said to him, “We have found ^(A)the Messiah” (which means Christ).
