²⁶ and whoever lives by believing^(A) in me will never die.^(B) Do you believe this?”

¹³ For if you live according to the flesh, you will die;^(A) but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body,^(B) you will live.^(C)

²⁸ I give them eternal life,^(A) and they shall never perish;^(B) no one will snatch them out of my hand.^(C)

²⁴ “Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me^(A) has eternal life^(B) and will not be judged^(C) but has crossed over from death to life.^(D)

¹⁰ Whoever believes in the Son of God accepts this testimony.^(A) Whoever does not believe God has made him out to be a liar,^(B) because they have not believed the testimony God has given about his Son. ¹¹ And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life,^(C) and this life is in his Son.^{(D) 12} Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.^(E)

⁵¹ Very truly I tell you, whoever obeys my word will never see death.”^(A)

⁵² At this they exclaimed, “Now we know that you are demon-possessed!^(B) Abraham died and so did the prophets, yet you say that whoever obeys your word will never taste death. ⁵³ Are you greater than our father Abraham?^(C) He died, and so did the prophets. Who do you think you are?”

⁵⁴ Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.^{(A) 55} For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. ⁵⁶ Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in them.^{(B) 57} Just as the living Father sent me^(C) and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me. ⁵⁸ This is the bread that came down from heaven. Your ancestors ate manna and died, but whoever feeds on this bread will live forever.”^(D)

¹⁵ that everyone who believes^(A) may have eternal life in him.”^[a](B)

¹⁶ For God so loved^(C) the world that he gave^(D) his one and only Son,^(E) that whoever believes^(F) in him shall not perish but have eternal life.^{(G) 17} For God did not send his Son into the world^(H) to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.^{(I) 18} Whoever believes in him is not condemned,^(J) but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.^(K)

¹⁰ Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me?^(A) The words I say to you I do not speak on my own authority.^(B) Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work.
