15 And the Jews marvelled, saying, How does he know the scriptures, seeing that he was never taught?
16 Jesus answered them and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his who sent me. 17 If any person desires to do his will, he will know concerning the doctrine, whether it is of God or whether I speak of myself.

15 The Jews(A) there were amazed and asked, “How did this man get such learning(B) without having been taught?”(C)
16 Jesus answered, “My teaching is not my own. It comes from the one who sent me.(D) 17 Anyone who chooses to do the will of God will find out(E) whether my teaching comes from God or whether I speak on my own.
