³⁶ But the witness I have is greater than the witness of John; for ^(A)the works which the Father has given Me ^(B)to finish—the very works that I do—bear witness about Me, that the Father ^(C)has sent Me.

^4 (A)I glorified You on the earth, ^[a](B)having finished the work which You have given Me to do.

Scripture Fulfilled—It Is Finished

²⁸ After this, Jesus, ^(A)knowing that all things had already been finished, ^(B)in order ^[a]to finish the Scripture, *said, “^(C)I am thirsty.”

³⁰ Therefore when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “^(A)It is finished!” And bowing His head, He ^(B)gave up His spirit.
