¹⁶ “For God so ^(A)loved the world, that He ^(B)gave His ^(C)only Son, so that everyone who ^(D)believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life.

^35 (A)The Father loves the Son and ^(B)has entrusted all things to His hand.

^20 (A)For the Father loves the Son and shows Him all things that He Himself is doing; and the Father will show Him ^(B)greater works than these, so that you will be amazed.

²³ Jesus answered and said to him, “^(A)If anyone loves Me, he will ^(B)follow My word; and ^(C)My Father will love him, and We ^(D)will come to him and make Our dwelling with him.

⁹ Just as ^(A)the Father has loved Me, I also have loved you; remain in My love.

^26 (A)On that day ^(B)you will ask in My name, and I am not saying to you that I will request of the Father on your behalf; ²⁷ for ^(C)the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me and ^(D)have believed that ^(E)I came forth from the Father.

²⁶ and ^(A)I have made Your name known to them, and will make it known, so that ^(B)the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.”

Children of God Love One Another

3 See ^[a](A)how great a love the Father has given us, that we would be called ^(B)children of God; and in fact we are. For this reason the world does not know us: because ^(C)it did not know Him.

God Is Love

^7 (A)Beloved, let’s ^(B)love one another; for love is from God, and ^(C)everyone who loves has been ^(D)born of God and ^(E)knows God. ⁸ The one who does not love does not know God, because ^(F)God is love. ⁹ By this the love of God was revealed ^[a](G)in us, that ^(H)God has sent His only Son into the world so that we may live through Him. ¹⁰ In this is love, ^(I)not that we loved God, but that ^(J)He loved us and sent His Son to be ^(K)the ^[b]propitiation for our sins.
