²⁰ Peter turned and saw ^(A)the disciple whom Jesus loved following them, ^(B)the one who also had leaned back against him during the supper and had said, “Lord, who is it that is going to betray you?”

¹⁰ When Jesus heard this, ^(A)he marveled and said to those who followed him, “Truly, I tell you, with ^(B)no one in Israel^[a] have I found such faith. ¹¹ I tell you, ^(C)many will come from east and west and recline at table with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven, ^12 (D)while the sons of the kingdom ^(E)will be thrown into the outer darkness. In that place ^(F)there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”

^28 (A)In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when you see ^(B)Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God but ^(C)you yourselves cast out. ²⁹ And ^(D)people will come from east and west, and from north and south, and ^(E)recline at table in the kingdom of God. ³⁰ And behold, ^(F)some are last who will be first, and some are first who will be last.”
