40 (A)“He has blinded their eyes
and (B)hardened their heart,
lest they see with their eyes,
and understand with their heart, and turn,
and I would heal them.”
41 Isaiah said these things because (C)he saw his glory and (D)spoke of him. 42 Nevertheless, (E)many even of the authorities believed in him, but (F)for fear of the Pharisees they did not (G)confess it, so that they would not be (H)put out of the synagogue;

40 “He has blinded their eyes
and hardened their hearts,
so they can neither see with their eyes,
nor understand with their hearts,
nor turn—and I would heal them.”[a](A)
41 Isaiah said this because he saw Jesus’ glory(B) and spoke about him.(C)
42 Yet at the same time many even among the leaders believed in him.(D) But because of the Pharisees(E) they would not openly acknowledge their faith for fear they would be put out of the synagogue;(F)
