¹¹ There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven.^(A)

⁵¹ At that moment the curtain of the temple^(A) was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook, the rocks split^(B)

¹⁸ Then there came flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder^(A) and a severe earthquake.^(B) No earthquake like it has ever occurred since mankind has been on earth,^(C) so tremendous was the quake. ¹⁹ The great city^(D) split into three parts, and the cities of the nations collapsed. God remembered^(E) Babylon the Great^(F) and gave her the cup filled with the wine of the fury of his wrath.^{(G) 20} Every island fled away and the mountains could not be found.^(H)

¹³ At that very hour there was a severe earthquake^(A) and a tenth of the city collapsed. Seven thousand people were killed in the earthquake, and the survivors were terrified and gave glory^(B) to the God of heaven.^(C)

¹⁴ The heavens receded like a scroll being rolled up,^(A) and every mountain and island was removed from its place.^(B)

²¹ Jesus replied, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt,^(A) not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done.

² If I have the gift of prophecy^(A) and can fathom all mysteries^(B) and all knowledge,^(C) and if I have a faith^(D) that can move mountains,^(E) but do not have love, I am nothing.
