^18 (A)visit him every morning
    and ^(B)test him every moment?

¹² My dwelling is plucked up and removed from me
    ^(A)like a shepherd's tent;
^(B)like a weaver ^(C)I have rolled up my life;
    ^(D)he cuts me off from the loom;
^(E)from day to night you bring me to an end;
^{13     (F)}I calmed myself^[a] until morning;
like a lion ^(G)he breaks all my bones;
    from day to night you bring me to an end.

⁹ And ^(A)I will put this third into the fire,
    and refine them as one refines silver,
    and test them as gold is tested.
^(B)They will call upon my name,
    and ^(C)I will answer them.
^(D)I will say, ‘They are my people’;
    and they will say, ‘The Lord is my God.’”

¹⁴ They are dead, they will not live;
    they are shades, they will not arise;
to that end you have visited them with destruction
    and wiped out all remembrance of them.

³ And do you ^(A)open your eyes on such a one
    and ^(B)bring me into judgment with you?
