    so the waters would not overstep his command,^(B)
and when he marked out the foundations of the earth.^(C)

⁸ they flowed over the mountains,
    they went down into the valleys,
    to the place you assigned^(A) for them.
⁹ You set a boundary^(B) they cannot cross;
    never again will they cover the earth.

    he puts the deep into storehouses.
