¹⁸ No man hath seen God at any time; ^[a]the only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.

⁷ And Jehovah appeared unto Abram, and said, Unto thy seed will I give this land: and there builded he an altar unto Jehovah, who appeared unto him.

17 And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, Jehovah appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am ^[a]God Almighty; walk before me, and be thou perfect.

18 And Jehovah appeared unto him by the ^[a]oaks of Mamre, as he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day;

²⁴ And Jehovah appeared unto him the same night, and said, I am the God of Abraham thy father: fear not, for I am with thee, and will bless thee, and multiply thy seed for my servant Abraham’s sake.

⁵ And Jehovah descended in the cloud, ^[a]and stood with him there, and proclaimed ^[b]the name of Jehovah. ⁶ And Jehovah passed by before him, and proclaimed, Jehovah, Jehovah, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abundant in lovingkindness and truth; ⁷ keeping lovingkindness for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin; and that will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children’s children, upon the third and upon the fourth generation.

6 In the year that king Uzziah died I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up; and his ^[a]train filled the temple. ² Above him stood the seraphim: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly. ³ And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is Jehovah of hosts: ^[b]the whole earth is full of his glory.
