¹³ And the Lord says: ^(A)“Because they have forsaken my law that I set before them, and have not obeyed my voice or walked in accord with it, ¹⁴ but ^(B)have stubbornly followed their own hearts and have gone after the Baals, as their fathers taught them. ¹⁵ Therefore thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: ^(C)Behold, I will feed this people with bitter food, and give them ^(D)poisonous water to drink. ^16 (E)I will scatter them among the nations ^(F)whom neither they nor their fathers have known, and I will ^(G)send the sword after them, until I have consumed them.”

^25 (A)The horn of Moab is cut off, and ^(B)his arm is broken, declares the Lord.

^26 (C)“Make him drunk, ^(D)because he magnified himself against the Lord, so that Moab shall ^(E)wallow in his vomit, ^(F)and he too shall be held in derision.
