2 He did what was evil in the eyes of the Lord, just as Jehoiakim had done. 3 Indeed Jerusalem and Judah so aroused the anger of the Lord that he cast them away from his presence.
Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon. 4 Therefore, in the ninth year of his reign, on the tenth day of the month, Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, advanced against Jerusalem with his entire army. New International Version
2 He did evil in the eyes of the Lord, just as Jehoiakim(A) had done. 3 It was because of the Lord’s anger that all this happened to Jerusalem and Judah,(B) and in the end he thrust them from his presence.(C)
Now Zedekiah rebelled(D) against the king of Babylon.
4 So in the ninth year of Zedekiah’s reign, on the tenth(E) day of the tenth month, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon marched against Jerusalem(F) with his whole army. They encamped outside the city and built siege works(G) all around it.(H)
