⁹ The people of Israel and Judah will not serve foreign countries. No, they will serve the Lord their God. I will send them David their king,^[a] and they will serve him.

Leaders Should Be Good and Fair

32 Listen to what I say! A king should rule in a way that brings justice. Leaders should make fair decisions when they lead the people.

²⁴ “‘And my servant David will be the king over them. There will be only one shepherd over all of them. They will live by my rules and obey my laws. They will do the things I tell them.

⁵ After this, the people of Israel will come back and look for the Lord their God and for David their king. In the last days they will come to honor the Lord and his goodness.
