8 (A)Their tongue is a deadly arrow;
    (B)it speaks deceitfully;
with his mouth (C)each speaks peace to his neighbor,
    but in his heart (D)he plans an ambush for him.
9 (E)Shall I not punish them for these things? declares the Lord,
    and shall I not avenge myself
    on a nation such as this?

With their mouths they all speak cordially to their neighbors,(B)
    but in their hearts they set traps(C) for them.(D)
9 Should I not punish them for this?”
    declares the Lord.
“Should I not avenge(E) myself
    on such a nation as this?”
