³ Thus says Yahweh of hosts, the God of Israel, “^(A)Make your ways and your deeds good, and I will let you dwell in this place. ^4 (B)Do not trust in lying words, saying, ‘^[a]This is the temple of Yahweh, the temple of Yahweh, the temple of Yahweh.’ ⁵ For ^(C)if you truly make your ways and your deeds good, if you truly ^(D)do justice between a man and his neighbor, ⁶ if you do not oppress the sojourner, the ^[b](E)orphan, or the widow, and do not shed ^(F)innocent blood in this place, nor ^(G)walk after other gods to your own evil demise, ⁷ then I will let you ^(H)dwell in this place, in the ^(I)land that I gave to your fathers forever and ever.

¹⁶ Then if they will really ^(A)learn the ways of My people, to ^(B)swear by My name, ‘As Yahweh lives,’ even as they taught My people to ^(C)swear by Baal, they will be ^(D)built up in the midst of My people.

²¹ “But if the ^(A)wicked man turns from all his sins which he has done and keeps all My statutes and does justice and righteousness, he shall surely live; he shall not die.
