^14 (A)You shall not walk after other gods, any of the gods of the peoples who surround you, ¹⁵ for Yahweh your God in the midst of you is a ^(B)jealous God—lest the anger of Yahweh your God be kindled against you, and He destroy you from the face of the earth.

¹⁹ Now it will be, if you ever forget Yahweh your God and walk after other gods and serve them and worship them, ^(A)I testify against you today that you will surely perish.

²⁸ and the ^(A)curse, if you do not listen to the commandments of Yahweh your God, but turn aside from the way which I am commanding you today, by walking after other gods which you have not known.

¹⁰ This evil people, who ^(A)refuse to listen to My words, who ^(B)walk in the stubbornness of their hearts and have walked after other gods to serve them and to worship them, let them be just like this belt which is totally worthless.
