22 Then King Jehoiakim sent Elnathan son of Acbor and some other men to Egypt, 23 and they brought Uriah back from Egypt. Then they took him to King Jehoiakim, who had Uriah killed with a sword. His body was thrown into the burial place where poor people are buried.)
24 Ahikam son of Shaphan supported Jeremiah. So Ahikam did not hand Jeremiah over to be killed by the people.

22 King Jehoiakim, however, sent Elnathan(A) son of Akbor to Egypt, along with some other men. 23 They brought Uriah out of Egypt and took him to King Jehoiakim, who had him struck down with a sword(B) and his body thrown into the burial place of the common people.)(C)
24 Furthermore, Ahikam(D) son of Shaphan supported Jeremiah, and so he was not handed over to the people to be put to death.
