²⁷ “When you tell^(A) them all this, they will not listen^(B) to you; when you call to them, they will not answer.^(C)

¹³ “‘When I called, they did not listen;^(A) so when they called, I would not listen,’^(B) says the Lord Almighty.^(C)

² “This is what the Lord says: Stand in the courtyard^(A) of the Lord’s house and speak to all the people of the towns of Judah who come to worship in the house of the Lord.^(B) Tell^(C) them everything I command you; do not omit^(D) a word.

⁷ But the Lord said to me, “Do not say, ‘I am too young.’ You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you.

²⁷ For I have not hesitated to proclaim to you the whole will of God.^(A)

¹⁷ “Son of man, I have made you a watchman^(A) for the people of Israel; so hear the word I speak and give them warning from me.^{(B) 18} When I say to a wicked person, ‘You will surely die,^(C)’ and you do not warn them or speak out to dissuade them from their evil ways in order to save their life, that wicked person will die for^[a] their sin, and I will hold you accountable for their blood.^(D)

⁴ He then said to me: “Son of man, go now to the people of Israel and speak my words to them.^{(A) 5} You are not being sent to a people of obscure speech and strange language,^(B) but to the people of Israel— ⁶ not to many peoples of obscure speech and strange language, whose words you cannot understand. Surely if I had sent you to them, they would have listened to you.^{(C) 7} But the people of Israel are not willing to listen^(D) to you because they are not willing to listen to me, for all the Israelites are hardened and obstinate.^{(E) 8} But I will make you as unyielding and hardened as they are.^{(F) 9} I will make your forehead^(G) like the hardest stone, harder than flint.^(H) Do not be afraid of them or terrified by them, though they are a rebellious people.^(I)”

¹⁰ And he said to me, “Son of man, listen carefully and take to heart^(J) all the words I speak to you. ¹¹ Go^(K) now to your people in exile and speak to them. Say to them, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says,’^(L) whether they listen or fail to listen.^(M)”
