^26 (A)Yet they did not listen to me or incline their ear, ^(B)but stiffened their neck. ^(C)They did worse than their fathers.

¹² and because ^(A)you have done worse than your fathers, for behold, ^(B)every one of you follows his stubborn, evil will, refusing to listen to me.

^8 (A)Do not now be stiff-necked as your fathers were, but yield yourselves to the Lord and come to his sanctuary, which he has consecrated forever, and serve the Lord your God, ^(B)that his fierce anger may turn away from you.

^32 (A)Fill up, then, the measure of your fathers.

¹⁵ “Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, behold, I am bringing upon this city and upon all its towns all the disaster that I have pronounced against it, ^(A)because they have stiffened their neck, ^(B)refusing to hear my words.”

²³ Yet ^(A)they did not listen or incline their ear, ^(B)but stiffened their neck, that they ^(C)might not hear and receive instruction.

^24 (A)But they did not obey or incline their ear, ^(B)but walked in their own counsels and ^(C)the stubbornness of their evil hearts, and ^(D)went backward and not forward.

⁵ But because of your hard and impenitent heart you are ^(A)storing up ^(B)wrath for yourself on the day of wrath when God's righteous judgment will be revealed.

^51 (A)“You stiff-necked people, ^(B)uncircumcised in heart and ears, you always resist the Holy Spirit. ^(C)As your fathers did, so do you.

³⁸ But when the tenants saw the son, they said to themselves, ^(A)‘This is the heir. Come, ^(B)let us kill him and have his inheritance.’
