⁴ Jeremiah the prophet said to them, “I have heard you. Behold, I will pray to the Lord your God according to your request, and ^(A)whatever the Lord answers you I will tell you. ^(B)I will keep nothing back from you.”

²³ Moreover, as for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the Lord by ceasing ^(A)to pray for you, ^(B)and I will instruct you in the good and the right way.

¹⁷ And Eli said, “What was it that he told you? Do not hide it from me. ^(A)May God do so to you and more also if you hide anything from me of all that he told you.” ¹⁸ So Samuel told him everything and hid nothing from him. And he said, ^(B)“It is the Lord. Let him do what seems good to him.”

²⁹ Then Moses said, “Behold, I am going out from you and I will plead with the Lord that the swarms of flies may depart from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people, tomorrow. Only let not Pharaoh ^(A)cheat again by not letting the people go to sacrifice to the Lord.”

²⁰ how I ^(A)did not shrink from declaring to you anything that was profitable, and ^(B)teaching you in public and from house to house,

^28 (A)Let the prophet who has a dream ^(B)tell the dream, but let him who has my word speak my word faithfully. ^(C)What has straw in common with wheat? declares the Lord.

10 Brothers,^[a] my heart's desire and prayer to God for them is that they may be saved.

²⁷ for ^(A)I did not shrink from declaring to you ^(B)the whole counsel of God.

⁷ And you shall speak my words to them, ^(A)whether they hear or refuse to hear, for they are a rebellious house.
