And it was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation.(E) 8 All inhabitants of the earth(F) will worship the beast—all whose names have not been written in the Lamb’s book of life,(G) the Lamb(H) who was slain from the creation of the world.[a](I)
9 Whoever has ears, let them hear.(J)
10 “If anyone is to go into captivity,
into captivity they will go.
If anyone is to be killed[b] with the sword,
with the sword they will be killed.”[c](K)
This calls for patient endurance and faithfulness(L) on the part of God’s people.(M)

and God has remembered(K) her crimes.
6 Give back to her as she has given;
pay her back(L) double(M) for what she has done.
Pour her a double portion from her own cup.(N)
7 Give her as much torment and grief
as the glory and luxury she gave herself.(O)
In her heart she boasts,
‘I sit enthroned as queen.
I am not a widow;[c]
I will never mourn.’(P)
8 Therefore in one day(Q) her plagues will overtake her:
death, mourning and famine.
She will be consumed by fire,(R)
for mighty is the Lord God who judges her.
