12 Dagukan ninyo ang inyong dibdib sa kalungkutan
sapagkat wasak na ang masaganang bukirin at ang mabunga ninyong ubasan.
13 Tinubuan na ito ng mga tinik at dawag.
Tangisan ninyo ang dating masasayang tahanan,
at lunsod na noo'y puno ng kagalakan.
14 Pati ang palasyo ay pababayaan
at ang pangunahing-lunsod ay mawawalan ng tao.
Ang mga burol at tore ay guguho;
ang lupain ay magiging tirahan ng maiilap na asno
at pastulan ng mga tupa.

12 Beat your breasts(A) for the pleasant fields,
for the fruitful vines(B)
13 and for the land of my people,
a land overgrown with thorns and briers(C)—
yes, mourn(D) for all houses of merriment
and for this city of revelry.(E)
14 The fortress(F) will be abandoned,
the noisy city deserted;(G)
citadel and watchtower(H) will become a wasteland forever,
the delight of donkeys,(I) a pasture for flocks,(J)

14 Because the palaces shall be forsaken; the multitude of the city shall be left; the forts and towers shall be for dens for ever, a joy of wild asses, a pasture of flocks;
