10 Mapapahamak kayo, mga gumagawa ng hindi makatarungang batas na umaapi sa mga tao,
2 upang pagkaitan ng katarungan ang mga nangangailangan,
upang alisan ng karapatan ang mahihirap,
at upang pagsamantalahan ang mga biyuda at ulila.
3 Ano ang gagawin ninyo sa araw ng pagpaparusa,
pagdating ng pagkawasak na magmumula sa malayo?
Kanino kayo lalapit upang humingi ng tulong,
at kanino ninyo iiwanan ang inyong kayamanan,
4 upang hindi kayo mabilanggo, o mamatay sa labanan?
Sa kabila ng lahat ng ito, hindi nawawala ang kanyang poot;
patuloy niyang paparusahan ang kanyang bayan.
Ang Layunin ng Diyos at ang Hari ng Asiria
5 Ikaw(A) Asiria ang gagamitin kong pamalo—
ang tungkod ng aking pagkapoot.
6 Isusugo ko siya laban sa isang bayang walang diyos,
isang bayang kinapopootan ko,
upang ito'y wasakin at samsaman ng lahat ng yaman
at tapakang parang putik sa lansangan.
7 Ngunit hindi ganito ang binabalak ng hari ng Asiria,
wala nga ito sa isipan niya.
Ang layunin niya'y wasakin ang maraming bansa.
8 Ang sabi niya:
“Hindi ba't pawang hari ang aking mga pinuno?
9 Ano ang pagkakaiba ng Calno sa Carquemis?
Ng Hamat sa Arpad,
at ng Samaria sa Damasco?
10 Kung paanong pinarusahan ko ang mga kahariang sumasamba sa mga diyus-diyosan;
na higit na marami ang mga larawang inanyuan kaysa naroon sa Jerusalem at Samaria,
11 hindi ko rin ba gagawin sa Jerusalem at sa mga diyus-diyosan nito,
ang ginawa ko sa Samaria at sa mga imahen nito?”
12 Ngunit kapag natapos na ni Yahweh ang kanyang layunin sa Bundok Zion at sa Jerusalem, paparusahan niya ang hari ng Asiria dahil sa kanyang kayabangan, kataasan at kapalaluan.
13 Sapagkat ang sabi niya:
“Nagawa ko iyan dahil sa taglay kong lakas at karunungan,
inalis ko ang hangganan ng mga bansa,
at sinamsam ko ang kanilang mga kayamanan;
ibinagsak ko sa lupa ang mga nakaupo sa trono.
14 Kinamkam ko ang kayamanan ng mga bansa na parang nasa isang pugad.
Tinipon ko ang buong lupa
tulad ng pagtipon sa mga itlog na iniwanan,
wala man lamang pakpak na nagbalak lumipad,
walang bibig na bumubuka o huning narinig.”
15 Mas magaling pa ba ang palakol kaysa taong may hawak nito?
Mas mahalaga ba ang lagari kaysa taong gumagamit nito?
Ang tungkod pa ba ang bubuhat sa may hawak nito?
16 Kaya nga padadalhan ni Yahweh, ang Makapangyarihang Panginoon,
ng mapaminsalang sakit ang magigiting niyang mandirigma,
at sa ilalim ng kanilang mga kasuotan, mag-aapoy sa init ang kanilang katawan,
parang sigang maglalagablab nang walang katapusan.
17 Ang ilaw ng Israel ay magiging apoy,
ang Banal na Diyos ay magniningas,
at susunugin niya sa loob ng isang araw
maging ang mga tinik at dawag.
18 Wawasakin niya ang kanyang mga gubat at bukirin,
kung paanong winasak ng sakit ang katawan at kaluluwa ng tao.
19 Ilan lamang ang matitirang punongkahoy sa gubat,
ang mga ito'y mabibilang kahit ng isang batang musmos.
Ang Pagbabalik ng mga Natirang Sambahayan ng Israel
20 Sa araw na iyon ang matitira sa bansang Israel at Juda ay hindi na aasa sa mga nagpahirap sa kanila. Kay Yahweh lamang, sa Banal na Diyos ng Israel, sila mananalig nang buong katapatan. 21 Ang mga natira sa sambahayan ni Jacob ay magbabalik sa Diyos na Makapangyarihan, 22 sapagkat(B) kung sindami man ng buhangin sa dagat ang mga Israelita, ilan lamang ang makakabalik. Nakatakda na ang pagwasak sa iyo ayon sa nararapat. 23 Sa takdang panahon, ang buong bansa ay wawakasan ni Yahweh, ang Makapangyarihang Panginoon.
24 Kaya ganito ang sinasabi ni Yahweh, ang Makapangyarihang Panginoon: “O bayan kong naninirahan sa Zion, huwag kang matakot sa mga taga-Asiria kung ikaw ma'y hampasin nila o pahirapan tulad ng ginawa sa iyo ng mga taga-Egipto. 25 Sapagkat hindi magtatagal at lilipas na ang galit ko sa iyo, at sa kanila ko ibabaling ang aking poot. 26 At hahagupitin ko sila tulad ng puksain ko ang mga Midianita sa Bato ng Oreb. Itataas ko ang aking tungkod sa ibabaw ng dagat tulad ng ginawa ko sa mga taga-Egipto. 27 Sa araw na iyon aalisin sa iyong balikat ang pahirap na ginagawa ng Asiria at wawasakin na ang pamatok sa iyong leeg.”
Sumalakay siya buhat sa Rimon.
28 At nakarating na sa Aiat,[a]
lumampas na siya sa Migron
at iniwan sa Micmas ang kanyang dala-dalahan.
29 Nakatawid na sila sa tawiran,
at sa Geba magpapalipas ng gabi.
Nanginginig ang mga taga-Rama
at tumakas na ang mga taga-Gibea na kababayan ni Saul.
30 Sumigaw kayo ng malakas, mga taga-Galim!
Makinig kayo, mga taga-Laisa;
sumagot kayo, taga-Anatot!
31 Tumatakas na ang Madmena,
nag-alisan na ang mga taga-Gebim para sa kanilang kaligtasan.
32 Sa araw na ito darating sa Nob ang kaaway,
ibinigay na niya ang hudyat
na salakayin ang Bundok ng Zion,
ang Burol ng Jerusalem.
33 Masdan ninyo si Yahweh, ang Makapangyarihang Panginoon!
Sa pamamagitan ng nakakapangilabot na lakas,
ibubuwal niya ang pinakamatataas na puno.
Ibinabagsak niya ang mga palalo.
34 Ibinubuwal niya ang mga punongkahoy sa kagubatan sa pamamagitan ng palakol,
bagsak na ang Lebanon at ang matatayog nitong punongkahoy.

10 制定不义律例、起草不公法令的人啊，
你们有祸了！
2 你们冤枉穷人，
夺去我子民中困苦者的权利，
掳掠寡妇，抢劫孤儿。
3 在惩罚的日子，
当灾祸从远方临到你们头上时，
你们怎么办？
你们能跑到谁那里去求救呢？
你们能把财物藏在哪里呢？
4 你们将不是被掳就是被杀。
虽然如此，耶和华的怒气还没有止息，
祂降罚的手没有收回。
主要审判亚述
5 耶和华说：“亚述王有祸了！
他是我的愤怒之棍，
他手中拿着我发烈怒的杖。
6 我要差遣他去攻打一个不虔敬的国家，
一个惹我发怒的民族，
去抢夺、掳掠他们的财物，
像践踏街上的泥土一样践踏他们。
7 可是他却不这样想，
心里也不这样盘算，
他只想毁灭许多国家。
8 他说，‘我的臣仆都要做藩王！
9 迦勒挪岂不是和迦基米施一样吗？
哈马岂不是和亚珥拔一样吗？
撒玛利亚岂不是和大马士革一样吗？
它们不是都被我征服了吗？
10 这些国家都在我的手中，
他们雕刻的偶像不胜过耶路撒冷和撒玛利亚的偶像吗？
11 我怎样毁灭撒玛利亚和它的偶像，
也必怎样毁灭耶路撒冷和它的偶像。’”
12 主完成在锡安山和耶路撒冷要做的事后，必惩罚心里狂妄、眼目高傲的亚述王。
13 因为亚述王说：
“我靠自己的力量和智慧成就了此事，
因为我很聪明。
我废除列国的疆界，
掳掠他们的财物，
像勇士一样征服他们的君王。
14 我夺取列国的财物，
好像探囊取物；
我征服天下，
不过是手到擒来；
无人反抗，无人吭声。”
15 然而，斧头怎能向舞动它的人自夸呢？
锯子怎能向用锯的人炫耀呢？
难道棍子可以挥动举它的人吗？
手杖可以举起它的主人吗？
16 因此，主——万军之耶和华必使亚述王强健的士兵疾病缠身，
使火焰吞噬他的荣耀。
17 以色列的光必成为火焰，
他们的圣者必成为烈火，
一日之间烧光亚述王的荆棘和蒺藜。
18 他茂盛的树林和肥美的田园必被彻底摧毁，
犹如病人渐渐消亡。
19 林中剩下的树木稀少，
连小孩子也能数清。
以色列的余民
20 到那日，以色列的余民，就是雅各家的幸存者，将不再倚靠欺压他们的亚述，他们将真心倚靠耶和华——以色列的圣者， 21 重新归向全能的上帝。 22 以色列啊，你的人民虽多如海沙，将只有剩余的人归回。充满公义的毁灭之事已定。 23 因为主——万军之耶和华必按所定的在整个大地上施行毁灭。
24 因此，主——万军之耶和华说：“我锡安的子民啊，虽然亚述人像埃及人一样挥舞着棍棒毒打你们，你们不要惧怕。 25 因为很快我就不再向你们发怒，我要向他们发怒，毁灭他们。” 26 万军之耶和华要鞭打他们，就像在俄立磐石击杀米甸人，就像祂向海伸杖，使海水淹没埃及人。 27 到那日，祂必除去亚述人加在你们肩头的重担和颈上的轭；那轭必因你们肥壮而折断。
28 亚述大军攻占了亚叶，

基柄人躲藏。
32 那时，亚述王必屯兵挪伯，
向着锡安城[a]的山岭，
向着耶路撒冷的山丘摩拳擦掌。
33 看啊，主——万军之耶和华要以大能削去树枝。
高大的树必被斩断，
挺拔的大树必被砍倒，
34 茂密的树林必被铁斧砍掉，
连黎巴嫩的大树也要倒在全能的上帝面前。

10 Woe(A) to those who make unjust laws,
to those who issue oppressive decrees,(B)
2 to deprive(C) the poor of their rights
and withhold justice from the oppressed of my people,(D)
making widows their prey
and robbing the fatherless.(E)
3 What will you do on the day of reckoning,(F)
when disaster(G) comes from afar?
To whom will you run for help?(H)
Where will you leave your riches?
4 Nothing will remain but to cringe among the captives(I)
or fall among the slain.(J)
Yet for all this, his anger is not turned away,(K)
his hand is still upraised.
God’s Judgment on Assyria
5 “Woe(L) to the Assyrian,(M) the rod(N) of my anger,
in whose hand is the club(O) of my wrath!(P)
6 I send him against a godless(Q) nation,
I dispatch(R) him against a people who anger me,(S)
to seize loot and snatch plunder,(T)
and to trample(U) them down like mud in the streets.
7 But this is not what he intends,(V)
this is not what he has in mind;
his purpose is to destroy,
to put an end to many nations.
8 ‘Are not my commanders(W) all kings?’ he says.
9 ‘Has not Kalno(X) fared like Carchemish?(Y)
Is not Hamath(Z) like Arpad,(AA)
and Samaria(AB) like Damascus?(AC)
10 As my hand seized the kingdoms of the idols,(AD)
kingdoms whose images excelled those of Jerusalem and Samaria—
11 shall I not deal with Jerusalem and her images
as I dealt with Samaria and her idols?(AE)’”
12 When the Lord has finished all his work(AF) against Mount Zion(AG) and Jerusalem, he will say, “I will punish the king of Assyria(AH) for the willful pride(AI) of his heart and the haughty look(AJ) in his eyes. 13 For he says:
“‘By the strength of my hand(AK) I have done this,(AL)
and by my wisdom, because I have understanding.
I removed the boundaries of nations,
I plundered their treasures;(AM)
like a mighty one I subdued[a] their kings.(AN)
14 As one reaches into a nest,(AO)
so my hand reached for the wealth(AP) of the nations;
as people gather abandoned eggs,
so I gathered all the countries;(AQ)
not one flapped a wing,
or opened its mouth to chirp.(AR)’”
15 Does the ax raise itself above the person who swings it,
or the saw boast against the one who uses it?(AS)
As if a rod were to wield the person who lifts it up,
or a club(AT) brandish the one who is not wood!
16 Therefore, the Lord, the Lord Almighty,
will send a wasting disease(AU) upon his sturdy warriors;(AV)
under his pomp(AW) a fire(AX) will be kindled
like a blazing flame.
17 The Light of Israel will become a fire,(AY)
their Holy One(AZ) a flame;
in a single day it will burn and consume
his thorns(BA) and his briers.(BB)
18 The splendor of his forests(BC) and fertile fields
it will completely destroy,(BD)
as when a sick person wastes away.
19 And the remaining trees of his forests(BE) will be so few(BF)
that a child could write them down.
The Remnant of Israel
20 In that day(BG) the remnant of Israel,
the survivors(BH) of Jacob,
will no longer rely(BI) on him
who struck them down(BJ)
but will truly rely(BK) on the Lord,
the Holy One of Israel.(BL)
21 A remnant(BM) will return,[b](BN) a remnant of Jacob
will return to the Mighty God.(BO)
22 Though your people be like the sand(BP) by the sea, Israel,
only a remnant will return.(BQ)
Destruction has been decreed,(BR)
overwhelming and righteous.
23 The Lord, the Lord Almighty, will carry out
the destruction decreed(BS) upon the whole land.(BT)
24 Therefore this is what the Lord, the Lord Almighty, says:
“My people who live in Zion,(BU)
do not be afraid(BV) of the Assyrians,
who beat(BW) you with a rod(BX)
and lift up a club against you, as Egypt did.
25 Very soon(BY) my anger against you will end
and my wrath(BZ) will be directed to their destruction.(CA)”
26 The Lord Almighty will lash(CB) them with a whip,
as when he struck down Midian(CC) at the rock of Oreb;
and he will raise his staff(CD) over the waters,(CE)
as he did in Egypt.
27 In that day(CF) their burden(CG) will be lifted from your shoulders,
their yoke(CH) from your neck;(CI)
the yoke(CJ) will be broken
because you have grown so fat.[c]
28 They enter Aiath;
they pass through Migron;(CK)
they store supplies(CL) at Mikmash.(CM)
29 They go over the pass, and say,
“We will camp overnight at Geba.(CN)”
Ramah(CO) trembles;
Gibeah(CP) of Saul flees.(CQ)
30 Cry out, Daughter Gallim!(CR)
Listen, Laishah!
Poor Anathoth!(CS)
31 Madmenah is in flight;
the people of Gebim take cover.
32 This day they will halt at Nob;(CT)
they will shake their fist(CU)
at the mount of Daughter Zion,(CV)
at the hill of Jerusalem.

10 Woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees, and that write grievousness which they have prescribed;
2 To turn aside the needy from judgment, and to take away the right from the poor of my people, that widows may be their prey, and that they may rob the fatherless!
3 And what will ye do in the day of visitation, and in the desolation which shall come from far? to whom will ye flee for help? and where will ye leave your glory?
4 Without me they shall bow down under the prisoners, and they shall fall under the slain. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
5 O Assyrian, the rod of mine anger, and the staff in their hand is mine indignation.
6 I will send him against an hypocritical nation, and against the people of my wrath will I give him a charge, to take the spoil, and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets.
7 Howbeit he meaneth not so, neither doth his heart think so; but it is in his heart to destroy and cut off nations not a few.
8 For he saith, Are not my princes altogether kings?
9 Is not Calno as Carchemish? is not Hamath as Arpad? is not Samaria as Damascus?
10 As my hand hath found the kingdoms of the idols, and whose graven images did excel them of Jerusalem and of Samaria;
11 Shall I not, as I have done unto Samaria and her idols, so do to Jerusalem and her idols?
12 Wherefore it shall come to pass, that when the Lord hath performed his whole work upon mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the stout heart of the king of Assyria, and the glory of his high looks.
13 For he saith, By the strength of my hand I have done it, and by my wisdom; for I am prudent: and I have removed the bounds of the people, and have robbed their treasures, and I have put down the inhabitants like a valiant man:
14 And my hand hath found as a nest the riches of the people: and as one gathereth eggs that are left, have I gathered all the earth; and there was none that moved the wing, or opened the mouth, or peeped.
15 Shall the axe boast itself against him that heweth therewith? or shall the saw magnify itself against him that shaketh it? as if the rod should shake itself against them that lift it up, or as if the staff should lift up itself, as if it were no wood.
16 Therefore shall the Lord, the Lord of hosts, send among his fat ones leanness; and under his glory he shall kindle a burning like the burning of a fire.
17 And the light of Israel shall be for a fire, and his Holy One for a flame: and it shall burn and devour his thorns and his briers in one day;
18 And shall consume the glory of his forest, and of his fruitful field, both soul and body: and they shall be as when a standard-bearer fainteth.
19 And the rest of the trees of his forest shall be few, that a child may write them.
20 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the remnant of Israel, and such as are escaped of the house of Jacob, shall no more again stay upon him that smote them; but shall stay upon the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, in truth.
21 The remnant shall return, even the remnant of Jacob, unto the mighty God.
22 For though thy people Israel be as the sand of the sea, yet a remnant of them shall return: the consumption decreed shall overflow with righteousness.
23 For the Lord God of hosts shall make a consumption, even determined, in the midst of all the land.
24 Therefore thus saith the Lord God of hosts, O my people that dwellest in Zion, be not afraid of the Assyrian: he shall smite thee with a rod, and shall lift up his staff against thee, after the manner of Egypt.
25 For yet a very little while, and the indignation shall cease, and mine anger in their destruction.
26 And the Lord of hosts shall stir up a scourge for him according to the slaughter of Midian at the rock of Oreb: and as his rod was upon the sea, so shall he lift it up after the manner of Egypt.
27 And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.
28 He is come to Aiath, he is passed to Migron; at Michmash he hath laid up his carriages:
29 They are gone over the passage: they have taken up their lodging at Geba; Ramah is afraid; Gibeah of Saul is fled.
30 Lift up thy voice, O daughter of Gallim: cause it to be heard unto Laish, O poor Anathoth.
31 Madmenah is removed; the inhabitants of Gebim gather themselves to flee.
32 As yet shall he remain at Nob that day: he shall shake his hand against the mount of the daughter of Zion, the hill of Jerusalem.
33 Behold, the Lord, the Lord of hosts, shall lop the bough with terror: and the high ones of stature shall be hewn down, and the haughty shall be humbled.
34 And he shall cut down the thickets of the forest with iron, and Lebanon shall fall by a mighty one.
