^18 (A)Behold, I and ^(B)the children whom the Lord has given me are signs and portents in Israel from the Lord of hosts, who dwells on Mount Zion.

¹⁴ Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood, he himself likewise ^(D)partook of the same things, that ^(E)through death he might ^(F)destroy ^(G)the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil,

³⁴ And Simeon blessed them and said to Mary his mother, “Behold, this child is appointed ^(A)for the fall and rising of many in Israel, and for a sign ^(B)that is opposed

³ Thus says the Lord: ^(A)I have returned to Zion and ^(B)will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem, ^(C)and Jerusalem shall be called the faithful city, ^(D)and the mountain of the Lord of hosts, the holy mountain.

⁸ Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, you and your friends who sit before you, for ^(A)they are men who are a sign: behold, I will bring ^(B)my servant ^(C)the Branch.
