Good News Translation
6 All of us have been sinful; even our best actions are filthy through and through. Because of our sins we are like leaves that wither and are blown away by the wind. 7 No one turns to you in prayer; no one goes to you for help. You have hidden yourself from us and have abandoned[a] us because of our sins.
8 But you are our father, Lord. We are like clay, and you are like the potter. You created us,

6 We have all become like one who is unclean,
and all our righteous deeds are like a polluted garment.
We all fade like a leaf,
and our iniquities, like the wind, take us away.
7 There is no one that calls upon thy name,
that bestirs himself to take hold of thee;
for thou hast hid thy face from us,
and hast delivered[a] us into the hand of our iniquities.
8 Yet, O Lord, thou art our Father;
we are the clay, and thou art our potter;
we are all the work of thy hand.
