⁵ But he was pierced^(A) for our transgressions,^(B)
    he was crushed^(C) for our iniquities;
the punishment^(D) that brought us peace^(E) was on him,
    and by his wounds^(F) we are healed.^(G)
6 We all, like sheep, have gone astray,^(H)
    each of us has turned to our own way;^(I)
and the Lord has laid on him
    the iniquity^(J) of us all.

⁶ Who, being in very nature^[a] God,^(A)
    did not consider equality with God^(B) something to be used to his own advantage;
⁷ rather, he made himself nothing^(C)
    by taking the very nature^[b] of a servant,^(D)
    being made in human likeness.^(E)
