13 (A)Sing for joy, O heavens, and exult, O earth; break forth, O mountains, into singing! For the Lord(B)has comforted his people and will have compassion on his afflicted.
23 (A)Sing, O heavens, for the Lord has done it; shout, O (B)depths of the earth; break forth into singing, O mountains, O forest, and every tree in it! For the Lord has redeemed Jacob, (C)and will be glorified[a] in Israel.
3 For the Lord(A)comforts Zion; he comforts all her waste places and makes her wilderness like (B)Eden, her desert like (C)the garden of the Lord; (D)joy and gladness will be found in her, thanksgiving and the voice of song.
40 (A)Comfort, comfort my people, says your God. 2 (B)Speak tenderly to Jerusalem, and cry to her that (C)her warfare[a] is ended, that her iniquity is pardoned, that she has received from the Lord's hand double for all her sins.
16 Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father, (A)who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good (B)hope through grace,17 comfort your hearts and (C)establish them in every good work and word.
13 As one whom his mother comforts, so (A)I will comfort you; you shall be comforted in Jerusalem. 14 You shall see, and your heart shall rejoice; (B)your bones shall flourish like the grass; and (C)the hand of the Lord shall be known to his servants, and he shall show his indignation against his enemies.
12 You[a] will say (A)in that day: “I will give thanks to you, O Lord, for though you were angry with me, (B)your anger turned away, that you might comfort me.
11 Let (A)the heavens be glad, and let (B)the earth rejoice; let (C)the sea roar, and all that fills it; 12 let (D)the field exult, and everything in it! Then shall all (E)the trees of the forest sing for joy 13 before the Lord, for he comes, for he comes (F)to judge the earth. He will judge the world in righteousness, and the peoples in his faithfulness.
2 (A)to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor, (B)and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn; 3 to grant to those who mourn in Zion— (C)to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes, (D)the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit; (E)that they may be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, (F)that he may be glorified.[a]
12 (A)“For you shall go out in joy and be led forth in peace; (B)the mountains and the hills before you shall break forth into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.
10 (A)Sing to the Lord a new song, his praise from the end of the earth, (B)you who go down to the sea, and all that fills it, (C)the coastlands and their inhabitants. 11 Let the desert and its cities lift up their voice, the villages that (D)Kedar inhabits; let the habitants of (E)Sela sing for joy, let them shout from the top of the mountains.
