    the nation that keeps faith.

    those whose minds are steadfast,

⁴ Trust^(J) in the Lord forever,^(K)
    for the Lord, the Lord himself, is the Rock^(L) eternal.
⁵ He humbles those who dwell on high,
    he lays the lofty city low;
he levels it to the ground^(M)
    and casts it down to the dust.^(N)
6 Feet trample^(O) it down—
    the feet of the oppressed,^(P)
    the footsteps of the poor.^(Q)

⁸ It is better to take refuge in the Lord^(A)
    than to trust in humans.^(B)
9 It is better to take refuge in the Lord
    than to trust in princes.^(C)

¹⁹ Open for me the gates^(A) of the righteous;
    I will enter^(B) and give thanks to the Lord.
²⁰ This is the gate of the Lord^(C)
    through which the righteous may enter.^(D)
21 I will give you thanks, for you answered me;^(E)
    you have become my salvation.^(F)

²⁵ Lord, save us!^(A)
    Lord, grant us success!

²⁶ Blessed is he who comes^(B) in the name of the Lord.

    and he has made his light shine^(E) on us.
With boughs in hand,^(F) join in the festal procession
