2 Lời mà I-sa, con trai A-mốt, đã thấy về Giu-đa và Giê-ru-sa-lem. 2 Việc sẽ xảy ra vào những ngày sau cùng:
Núi của nhà CHÚA sẽ được
Vững lập trên đỉnh các núi,
Được nâng cao hơn các đồi,
Và mọi quốc gia sẽ đổ về đó.
3 Nhiều dân tộc sẽ đến và nói:
“Hãy đến, chúng ta hãy lên núi CHÚA,
Đến nhà Đức Chúa Trời của Gia-cốp.
Ngài sẽ dạy chúng ta đường lối Ngài,
Để chúng ta đi trong đường Chúa.”
Vì Kinh Luật sẽ ra từ Si-ôn
Và lời của CHÚA sẽ đến từ Giê-ru-sa-lem.
4 Ngài sẽ xét đoán giữa các quốc gia
Và phân xử cho nhiều dân tộc.
Và họ sẽ lấy gươm rèn thành lưỡi cày,
Lấy giáo rèn thành lưỡi liềm.
Nước này sẽ không tuốt gươm ra nghịch cùng nước khác;
Họ sẽ không còn luyện tập chiến tranh.
5 Hỡi nhà Gia-cốp, hãy đến.
Chúng ta hãy đi trong ánh sáng của CHÚA.
6 Thật vậy, Ngài đã từ bỏ dân Ngài,
Là nhà Gia-cốp,
Vì họ đầy dẫy các thói tục đông phương[a]
Và thầy bói như người Phi-li-tin;
Bắt tay[b] với con cái người ngoại quốc.
7 Đất họ đầy bạc và vàng,
Châu báu vô tận,
Đất họ đầy ngựa
Và xe ngựa vô số.
8 Đất họ đầy tượng thần;
Họ quì lạy đồ tay mình làm ra,
Là vật ngón tay họ đã tạo nên.
9 Nhưng phàm nhân sẽ bị nhục nhã,
Loài người sẽ bị hạ thấp.
Nên, xin Ngài đừng tha thứ chúng.
10 Hãy chui vào trong đá,
Trốn trong bụi đất
Để tránh đối diện với sự kinh hoàng từ CHÚA
Và vinh quang của sự uy nghiêm Ngài.
11 Con mắt kiêu căng của người ta sẽ cụp xuống;
Sự cao ngạo của loài người sẽ bị hạ thấp.
Vào ngày ấy chỉ một mình CHÚA sẽ được tôn cao.
12 Vì có một ngày CHÚA Vạn Quân sẽ đến nghịch
Cùng tất cả những kẻ kiêu căng,
Kẻ cao ngạo cùng tất cả những kẻ kiêu kỳ;
Nó sẽ bị hạ thấp;[c]
13 Cũng sẽ nghịch cùng tất cả cây tùng của Li-ban, cao ngạo và kiêu kỳ;
Cùng tất cả cây sồi của Ba-san.
14 Cũng sẽ nghịch cùng tất cả núi cao,
Tất cả đồi lớn,
15 Cũng sẽ nghịch cùng tất cả tháp cao,
Mọi thành vững chắc,
16 Cũng sẽ nghịch cùng tất cả tầu bè của Ta-rê-si,
Mọi tàu sang trọng.[d]
17 Sự kiêu căng của con người sẽ bị hạ thấp;
Sự cao ngạo của loài người sẽ bị nhục nhã.
Vào ngày ấy chỉ một mình CHÚA sẽ được tôn cao.
18 Và các tượng thần sẽ hoàn toàn biến mất.
19 Người ta sẽ chui vào hang đá,
Vào hầm dưới đất
Để tránh đối diện với sự kinh hoàng từ CHÚA
Và vinh quang của sự uy nghiêm Ngài
Khi Ngài đứng lên làm rung chuyển trái đất.
20 Vào ngày ấy, người ta sẽ ném
Cho chuột, cho dơi
Những tượng thần bằng bạc, bằng vàng
Mà người ta đã làm ra để thờ lạy,
21 Đặng chui vào hang đá,
Vào khe đá
Để tránh đối diện với sự kinh hoàng từ CHÚA
Và vinh quang của sự uy nghiêm Ngài
Khi Ngài đứng lên làm rung chuyển trái đất.
22 Chớ nương cậy nơi người,
Là loài chỉ có hơi thở nơi lỗ mũi;
Chúng có gì đáng kể đâu?

The Mountain of the Lord(A)
2 This is what Isaiah son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem:(B)
2 In the last days(C)
the mountain(D) of the Lord’s temple will be established
as the highest of the mountains;(E)
it will be exalted(F) above the hills,
and all nations will stream to it.(G)
3 Many peoples(H) will come and say,
“Come, let us go(I) up to the mountain(J) of the Lord,
to the temple of the God of Jacob.
He will teach us his ways,
so that we may walk in his paths.”
The law(K) will go out from Zion,
the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.(L)
4 He will judge(M) between the nations
and will settle disputes(N) for many peoples.
They will beat their swords into plowshares
and their spears into pruning hooks.(O)
Nation will not take up sword against nation,(P)
nor will they train for war anymore.
The Day of the Lord
6 You, Lord, have abandoned(S) your people,
the descendants of Jacob.(T)
They are full of superstitions from the East;
they practice divination(U) like the Philistines(V)
and embrace(W) pagan customs.(X)
7 Their land is full of silver and gold;(Y)
there is no end to their treasures.(Z)
Their land is full of horses;(AA)
there is no end to their chariots.(AB)
8 Their land is full of idols;(AC)
they bow down(AD) to the work of their hands,(AE)
to what their fingers(AF) have made.
9 So people will be brought low(AG)
and everyone humbled(AH)—
do not forgive them.[a](AI)
10 Go into the rocks, hide(AJ) in the ground
from the fearful presence of the Lord
and the splendor of his majesty!(AK)
11 The eyes of the arrogant(AL) will be humbled(AM)
and human pride(AN) brought low;(AO)
the Lord alone will be exalted(AP) in that day.(AQ)
12 The Lord Almighty has a day(AR) in store
for all the proud(AS) and lofty,(AT)
for all that is exalted(AU)
(and they will be humbled),(AV)
13 for all the cedars of Lebanon,(AW) tall and lofty,(AX)
and all the oaks of Bashan,(AY)
14 for all the towering mountains
and all the high hills,(AZ)
15 for every lofty tower(BA)
and every fortified wall,(BB)
16 for every trading ship[b](BC)
and every stately vessel.
17 The arrogance of man will be brought low(BD)
and human pride humbled;(BE)
the Lord alone will be exalted in that day,(BF)
18 and the idols(BG) will totally disappear.(BH)
19 People will flee to caves(BI) in the rocks
and to holes in the ground(BJ)
from the fearful presence(BK) of the Lord
and the splendor of his majesty,(BL)
when he rises to shake the earth.(BM)
20 In that day(BN) people will throw away
to the moles and bats(BO)
their idols of silver and idols of gold,(BP)
which they made to worship.(BQ)
21 They will flee to caverns in the rocks(BR)
and to the overhanging crags
from the fearful presence of the Lord
and the splendor of his majesty,(BS)
when he rises(BT) to shake the earth.(BU)

el templo de nuestro Dios
será el monte más importante.
Allí vendrán muchos pueblos
3 y gente de muchas naciones,
y unos a otros se dirán:
«Subamos al monte de Sión,
al templo del Dios de Israel,
para que él mismo nos enseñe
y obedezcamos sus mandamientos».
Dios mismo será nuestro maestro
desde el monte de Sión,
¡desde la ciudad de Jerusalén!
4 Dios mismo dictará sentencia
contra naciones y pueblos lejanos,
y ellos convertirán sus espadas
en herramientas de trabajo.
Nunca más nación alguna
volverá a pelear contra otra,
ni se entrenará para la guerra.
5 ¡Vamos, pueblo de Israel,
deja que Dios sea tu guía!

6 Isaías dijo:
«¡Dios mío,

»El país está lleno de adivinos,
que han venido de Asiria y de Babilonia.
Israel practica la brujería,
igual que sus vecinos, los filisteos.
»Israel hace negocios sucios
con gente extranjera.
7 Por eso se ha llenado de oro y plata;
son muchos sus tesoros.
»Israel se ha convertido
en gran potencia militar,
pues tiene muchos caballos
y numerosos carros de guerra.
8 »¡Israel está lleno de ídolos!
Todos adoran a dioses
fabricados con sus propias manos.
9 Esto es una vergüenza
y una terrible desgracia;
¡no los perdones, Dios mío!
Dios castigará a los orgullosos
10 »Israelitas,
escóndanse entre las rocas,
escóndanse en las cuevas,
para que puedan escapar
del poderoso y temible Dios.
11 Los orgullosos bajarán la vista,
y agacharán la cabeza.
Sólo el Dios todopoderoso será adorado,
12 pues ya está cerca el día

Dios actuará contra aquellos
que se creen muy importantes;
se creen más grandes y altos

que las montañas y los cerros,
15 más altos que las torres
y más fuertes que las murallas.
16 Se creen más ricos que un barco
cargado de muchos tesoros.
17-18 »Cuando llegue ese día
serán humillados por completo
los creídos y orgullosos.
Cuando llegue ese día,
Dios acabará con todos los ídolos,
y solamente él será adorado.
Dios castigará a su pueblo
19-21 »Cuando Dios decida castigarlos
escóndanse entre las rocas,
escóndanse en las cuevas,
para que puedan escapar
de Dios y de su terrible poder.

(D)That the mountain of the Lord’s house
Shall be established on the top of the mountains,
And shall be exalted above the hills;
And all nations shall flow to it.
3 Many people shall come and say,
(E)“Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord,
To the house of the God of Jacob;
He will teach us His ways,
And we shall walk in His paths.”
(F)For out of Zion shall go forth the law,
And the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.
4 He shall judge between the nations,
And rebuke many people;
They shall beat their swords into plowshares,
And their spears into pruning [a]hooks;
Nation shall not lift up sword against nation,
Neither shall they learn war anymore.
The Day of the Lord
5 O house of Jacob, come and let us (G)walk
In the light of the Lord.
6 For You have forsaken Your people, the house of Jacob,
Because they are filled (H)with eastern ways;
They are (I)soothsayers like the Philistines,
(J)And they [b]are pleased with the children of foreigners.
7 (K)Their land is also full of silver and gold,
And there is no end to their treasures;
Their land is also full of horses,
And there is no end to their chariots.
8 (L)Their land is also full of idols;
They worship the work of their own hands,
That which their own fingers have made.
9 People bow down,
And each man humbles himself;
Therefore do not forgive them.
10 (M)Enter into the rock, and hide in the dust,
From the terror of the Lord
And the glory of His majesty.
11 The [c]lofty looks of man shall be (N)humbled,
The haughtiness of men shall be bowed down,
And the Lord alone shall be exalted (O)in that day.
12 For the day of the Lord of hosts
Shall come upon everything proud and lofty,
Upon everything lifted up—
And it shall be brought low—
13 Upon all (P)the cedars of Lebanon that are high and lifted up,
And upon all the oaks of Bashan;
14 (Q)Upon all the high mountains,
And upon all the hills that are lifted up;
15 Upon every high tower,
And upon every fortified wall;

And upon all the beautiful sloops.
17 The [d]loftiness of man shall be bowed down,
