Isaiah 64:3-5
Living Bible
3 So it was before when you came down, for you did awesome things beyond our highest expectations, and how the mountains quaked! 4 For since the world began no one has seen or heard of such a God as ours, who works for those who wait for him! 5 You welcome those who cheerfully do good, who follow godly ways.
But we are not godly; we are constant sinners and have been all our lives. Therefore your wrath is heavy on us. How can such as we be saved?

Isaiah 64:3-5
New International Version
3 For when you did awesome(A) things that we did not expect,
you came down, and the mountains trembled(B) before you.
4 Since ancient times no one has heard,
no ear has perceived,
no eye has seen any God besides you,(C)
who acts on behalf of those who wait for him.(D)
5 You come to the help of those who gladly do right,(E)
who remember your ways.
But when we continued to sin against them,
you were angry.(F)
How then can we be saved?
