²⁴ Therefore, ^(A)as a tongue of fire consumes stubble
And dry grass collapses into the flame,
So their ^(B)root will become ^(C)like rot and their blossom ^[a]blow away as dust;
For they have ^(D)rejected the law of Yahweh of hosts
And the word of the Holy One of Israel they have spurned.

¹⁹ By the ^(A)fury of Yahweh of hosts the ^(B)land is burned up,
And the ^(C)people are like fuel for the fire;
No ^(D)man spares his brother.

¹¹ O Yahweh, Your hand is raised up high, yet they ^(A)do not behold it.
^[a]They behold ^(B)Your zeal for the people and are put to shame;
Indeed, ^[b](C)fire will devour Your adversaries.

¹³ “You who are far away, ^(D)hear what I have done;
And you who are near, ^[c]acknowledge My might.”
^14 (E)Sinners in Zion are in dread;
^(F)Trembling has seized the godless.
“Who among us can sojourn with ^(G)the consuming fire?
Who among us can sojourn with ^[d]continual ^(H)burning?”
