Isaiah 44:24-28
Legacy Standard Bible
24 Thus says Yahweh, your (A)Redeemer, and the one who (B)formed you from the womb,
“I, Yahweh, am the maker of all things,
(C)Stretching out the heavens by Myself
And spreading out the earth [a]all alone,
25 (D)Causing the [b]omens of boasters to be annulled,
And [c]making fools out of diviners,
(E)Causing wise men to turn back,
And [d]making foolishness out of their knowledge,
26 (F)Confirming the word of His servant—
And the counsel of His messengers He will complete—
And being the One who says of Jerusalem, ‘She shall be inhabited!’
And of the (G)cities of Judah, ‘(H)They shall be built.’
And I will raise up her waste places again.
27 It is I who says to the depth of the sea, ‘Be dried up!’
And I will make your rivers (I)dry.
28 It is I who says of (J)Cyrus, ‘He is My shepherd!
And all My good pleasure he will complete.’
And saying of Jerusalem, ‘(K)She will be built,’
And of the temple, ‘[e]Your foundation will be laid.’”

Restoration of Israel through Cyrus
24 This is what the Lord, your Redeemer(A) who formed you from the womb,(B) says:
I am Yahweh, who made everything;
who stretched out the heavens by Myself;(C)
who alone spread out the earth;
25 who destroys the omens of the false prophets
and makes fools of diviners;
who confounds the wise
and makes their knowledge foolishness;(D)
26 who confirms the message of His servant
and fulfills the counsel of His messengers;
who says to Jerusalem, “She will be inhabited,”
and to the cities of Judah, “They will be rebuilt,”
and I will restore her ruins;
27 who says to the depths of the sea, “Be dry,”
and I will dry up your rivers;
28 who says to Cyrus,(E) “My shepherd,
he will fulfill all My pleasure”(F)
and says to Jerusalem, “She will be rebuilt,”(G)
and of the temple, “Its foundation will be laid.”
