⁸I [am] Jehovah, this [is] My name, And Mine honour to another I give not, Nor My praise to graven images.

⁸I am the Lord: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.

I will not yield my glory to another^(C)
or my praise to idols.^(D)

¹¹For My sake, for Mine own sake, I do [it], For how is it polluted? And Mine honour to another I give not.

¹¹For mine own sake, even for mine own sake, will I do it: for how should my name be polluted? and I will not give my glory unto another.

How can I let myself be defamed?^(B)
