but with righteousness(A) he will judge the needy,(B)
    with justice(C) he will give decisions for the poor(D) of the earth.
He will strike(E) the earth with the rod of his mouth;(F)
    with the breath(G) of his lips he will slay the wicked.(H)
Righteousness will be his belt(I)
    and faithfulness(J) the sash around his waist.(K)

The wolf will live with the lamb,(L)
    the leopard will lie down with the goat,
the calf and the lion and the yearling[a] together;
    and a little child will lead them.
The cow will feed with the bear,
    their young will lie down together,
    and the lion will eat straw like the ox.(M)
The infant(N) will play near the cobra’s den,
    and the young child will put its hand into the viper’s(O) nest.
They will neither harm nor destroy(P)
    on all my holy mountain,(Q)
for the earth(R) will be filled with the knowledge(S) of the Lord
    as the waters cover the sea.

10 In that day(T) the Root of Jesse(U) will stand as a banner(V) for the peoples; the nations(W) will rally to him,(X) and his resting place(Y) will be glorious.(Z) 11 In that day(AA) the Lord will reach out his hand a second time to reclaim the surviving remnant(AB) of his people from Assyria,(AC) from Lower Egypt, from Upper Egypt,(AD) from Cush,[b](AE) from Elam,(AF) from Babylonia,[c] from Hamath(AG) and from the islands(AH) of the Mediterranean.(AI)

12 He will raise a banner(AJ) for the nations
    and gather(AK) the exiles of Israel;(AL)
he will assemble the scattered people(AM) of Judah
    from the four quarters of the earth.(AN)
